Macaron Tower
For those that are trying to stay ahead of the trends, check out our Macaron Tower, as inspired by the likes of Laduree and Pierre Hermes in Paris.
Macarons have always been a Parisian delicacy and popular across France. They are now the “it” sweet in London and are slowly making their way up to Scotland.
Macarons are a mixture between an almond biscuit and a meringue, which gives them their “feet”. Traditionally they are made with ground almonds but we also like to mix it up and have made them with pistachio and a rose filling; pecan and maple; walnut with carrot, ginger and cinnamon (a modern day carrot cake); and a hazlenut with sumptious milk choclate filling.
We love to play around with colours and flavours and theme our macarons and towers to any event. We think these towers make a fantastic alternative to the traditional wedding cake; cupcakes and the croquembouche. They also make a beautiful table centrepiece instead of flowers that can be enjoyed at the end of the meal with coffee. Waste not want not!
